We publish corrections in public, on the article, permanently.
Correction — a factual error. We fix the text, add a dated note at the top of the article stating what was wrong and what it now says, and log it below.
Clarification — the facts were right but the wording was open to a reading we didn’t intend. We rewrite and note the change.
Update — new information has changed the picture. We add it, dated, without removing what we originally said.
Retraction — the central finding does not hold. We say so at the top of the article, keep the article online with the retraction attached, and explain what went wrong. We don’t delete published work.
We don’t quietly edit. Anything beyond a typo gets a note.
Requesting a correction
Email corrections@samiei.co.uk with the article URL, the specific passage, what’s wrong, and any evidence. We aim to respond within five working days. If we agree, we correct it immediately.
If you’re the subject of an article and you disagree with our conclusion rather than a fact, tell us anyway. We’ll publish a response if it’s substantive.
